Cricket Cap and Hat Size Guide
Caps and hats take the same measurement as a helmet: head circumference at the widest point. The difference is that a cap only has to sit, not to protect, so the fit is more forgiving.
Take the measurement first
Head circumference
From just above the eyebrows to around the widest part of the head, in centimetres.
Take a tape around the head at its widest point — about a centimetre above the eyebrows and above the ears — and keep it level all the way round.
Between two sizes: Take the larger size and bring it down with the internal adjuster. A helmet that grips at the temples will not be worn — and a helmet that is not worn protects nobody.
The same circumference as a helmet
A cap and a helmet take the same number: the head at its widest point, about a centimetre above the eyebrows and above the ears. The difference is what happens if you are a centimetre out. A cap that is slightly loose sits back on the head; a helmet that is slightly loose stops protecting you. So this page is more forgiving than the helmet one, and deliberately so.

A six-centimetre band, not a promise
"One size fits most" is a range, and ours is a stated one: 55 cm to 61 cm. A head outside that band is not badly shaped, it is outside the band — measure before you buy rather than after. One published cap chart we compared has a "One Size" of 54 to 61 cm sitting across both its S/M and its L/XL, so two of its three rows answer the same head, which is exactly the ambiguity a stated band avoids.
